CUTTING- WELDING

In cases where the plate size does not fit the disc size, KBS applies cutting and welding application to the disc that will be dished end, through CNC plasma.

The welding application is performed according to the procedures such as EN 287-1/1993 and EN 288/1993 precisely with expert and certified welders. Unless it is not requested, we state that the weldings are tested with DYE PENETRANT only.

If the weldings are asked to be tested with non-destructive testing (radiographic tests), then this will have to be mentioned in the agreement form.

h1 BEVELING PREPARATION FOR WELDING

KBS (with a 3 degree plasma and oxygen) can perform beveling, joggle edges and edge grinding (polishing) according to customer drawing or below figure.

SURFACE TREATMENT

Corruptions may occur on the surfaces of the products caused by Hot and Cold forming.

When requesting Surface Treatment;
It should be kept in mind that the minimum thickness may decrease.

If requested;

Sand Blasting (carbon steel),
Sand Blasting Stainless Steel (by non-ferritic sand)
Sand Blasting and Dyeing
Acid Washing

Polishing (Stainless Steel inside-outside)

The polishing application, an inevitable stage for food, pharmaceutics and cosmetics sectors, is becoming everyday even a more important step for numerous sectors. The polishing application helps to prevent corrosion and protect the products apart from the esthetical look it gives. KBS appreciates the importance of polishing application for the clients. Polishing machines for every dimension& size of product are present.

PACKING AND TRANSPORTATION

The products are distributed as packed, wrapped to be protected against dust, humidity and bumps in open or closed trucks, trailers, containers, by sea route, land route, wagons in railroad etc. KBS distributes dished-ends to anywhere around the world that are in production range.
